Journal Journal: Fighting with my Webcam on MacOSX 5

I got an Aiptek PenCam for Christmas.

It's a PC Only webcam, but I knew at least 2 generic solutions for MacOSX integration :

Macam, an OpenSource Effort for generic webcam driver
IOExperts USB Webcam, a $20 shareware alternative

I've tested macam 0.7b2, but the quicktime component crashes many applications in my config (iBook dual USB running MacOS 10.2.3 with Quicktime 6.0.2). The macam application works well, but it's useless:
The quicktime component is mandatory in order to use the webcam with webcam applications such as Yahoo Messenger.

The IOExperts USB 1.O software does not support my webcam
