Subject: Focus on accessibility and killer apps
For me:
- never cheap enough; any price is a liability to carry round
- size/weight (I decided to go for a p800 phone to cut on size)
Features:
- ABILITY TO STORE AND RECALL NOTES quickly and efficiently. Writing to a txt file is fine but should be able to search it quickly. Automatic tagging of date is nice too. Easy input and easy to see display!!
- maybe a calender
- maybe a calculator
- if it was very cheap GPS or similar / maps / similar
What I don't need:
- media features; it's a luxury not needed
- colour screen
- more gumpf
All I really need is a digital piece of paper. But to do this it comes back to those basics of:
- battery life
- easy input
- clear output (display)
- size
- price
They should concentrate on getting these basics right! I feel people really aren't interested in anything but the
'killer apps' like:
- reading/writing
- map viewing
- translation (the universal translator is feasible; speech rec -> txt -> translation -> speech?)
- diary
^ but these are all I an think of
