Except Tiny Tower plays differently and has different game mechanics than SimTower. But you're right, they LOOK the same. But that's about it.

I haven't posted a journal here in almost three years, because I couldn't find the button to start a new entry.
So... hi, Slashdot. I used to be really active here, but now I mostly lurk and read. I've missed you.
I am going to make the assumption that you are living in the US (based on your other posts.)
Considering that the summary says that "UK Physicists" are researching this, my guess is that neither you nor I are paying for this as a US taxpayer.
I imagine publishers that make their living selling downloadable games on PSN suffered from this outage in a highly economic way.
You mean they GOTO
Nope, you can't RETURN from a GOTO. The RETURN command only works with a GOSUB, where it stores the line you came from - so you can execute the same block of code at different areas.
...They GOSUB and don't RETURN.
Actually it's the PS3 that has offline updates and downloads, and even then, only when you buy the Playstation Plus service and activate the feature as it's disabled by default. (And, it only downloads the update, you still have to update it yourself.) The Wii checks for "messages" but does not download or update anything unless you're there at the machine. The Xbox 360 does not wake up to install or download things, it does it when you log into Xbox LIVE.
Sorry for bringing facts into your rant, I know that's not what you're supposed to do on teh intarwebs. But it might be interesting information for someone who doesn't know anything about the wake up features of the current gen consoles.
I skimmed NCSoft's defense pdf (linked in the Wired article) and it winds up that the guy in question was involved in real-money transfers and had all of his accounts banned from Lineage II in 2009.
Could that possibly be the REAL reason he's suing?
According to TFA, Disney confirmed a new Mickey Mouse video game from Junction Point Studios, which was bought by Disney Interactive in 2007. The game is merely titled "Epic Mickey" - the Gears and Unreal developer has no hand in it.
Yeah, the summary confused me, too.
I've lurked at
This is good advice, and gives me an opportunity to speak to the community at large: some of us who go to cons and are in a position to shake tons of hands politely decline. It's not because we're being dicks, it's because we know it's a good way to substantially decrease our chances of catching and spreading any germs.
I played the PAX Pandemic game, where the Enforcers handed out stickers to attendees that read [Carrier] [Infected] or [Immune] (There was also a [Patient Zero].
I got the [Immune] sticker, and by the time I got home on Monday, it was clear that I had the flu. I've had a fever between 100 and 104 all week that finally broke last night, but I'm going to the doctor today because I think whatever I had settled into my lungs. I'll tell him about the H1N1 outbreak and get tested if he wants to run the test, but at this point I think it's safe to assume that I was [Immune] to the Pig Plague, but definitely [Infected] with the damn PAX pox.
Even though it's been a week of misery, it was entirely worth it, and I don't regret going to PAX for a single second.
