Submission + - Ubisoft Announces New Casual Games

Anonymous Coward writes: "As a means of furthering it's offerings to the casual games market, French publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that the company is currently developing a series of new titles for Nintendo's DS and Wii consoles, due for release later this year. Titled My Coach, the games will be a series of interactive learning titles, the first of which is due out on DS and Wii this autumn. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot commented, "Ubisoft has a proven track record of publishing and creating videogames for non-traditional gaming audiences, with multimillion-selling brands like Petz and Rayman.""

Feed Mitsubishi announces new 20.1-inch widescreen display (engadget.com)

It looks like Mitsubishi is refreshing a few of the monitors it released in Japan last year, with the company announcing its new 20.1-inch RDT202WM-S model today, presumably a replacement for the similarly-spec'd RDTD201WM. This time around the monitor gets to add HDCP compliance to its list of specs, not to mention a spiffy new glossy display. Otherwise, the monitor will give you the standard 1680 x 1050 resolution, along with a decent 800:1 contrast ratio, 5 ms response time, 450cd/m2 brightness, and the requisite DVI input. If that sounds like it'll fit the bill, you'll be able to snag one of these on June 15th (in Japan only, naturally) in your choice of black or white for ¥49,800, or just over $400.

Submission + - Another black eye for XM Radio

hairygenes writes: "XM Radio has had degraded or no signal for millions of subscribers since yesterday. They report via e-mail that the signal loss was due to a software upgrade that resulted in loss of signal from one of the two satellites. The latest e-mail tells subs that we will have signal again sometime by midday, having missed the "early morning" deadline set in the e-mail sent last night..."

Journal Journal: Farewell Slashdot!! 2

Yes, Hello.

It would seem after many years of posting to slahsdot I've been struck with a "bitchslap" and have thusly decided to retire, rather than fight against the humourless cretins who wielded their heavy handed justice on my account.
