Simple fix: don't ever set your voicemail password.

I went over 10 years without enabling my dreaded voicemail, some people complained but I never budged. My current Director told me to set it up about six months ago. I did and used a random integer set from random.org as the password.

I can honestly say "I forgot my voicemail password" and let the thing fill up.

Circa 2006 I used to travel to Roune. Lovely city, amazing architecture, almost all of it completely black. I mean black hole black. This is 100% true and is the reason the Halloween storm a few years ago was so devastating. The 35 years of growth since I was a kid is the reason we seem to have so many new outages compared to growing up. During the housing buildup of the post war the trees were leveled to make way for streets and new neighborhoods. Now they've grown back and have been left unchecked for the most part. Many towns have taken it as a wake up call and are still having full time crews cutting back the trees.

Despite the typical 'government is acting bad' attitude that persists here it is a valid question. NM, one of the poorest stats in the country, levied taxes specifically to support this. Now the whole thing is in question. VGs future is in question despite what they are telling the press. And they are at least 5, probably closer to 10 years behind schedule. The question of continued costs and funding is valid.

None of them are old enough to get the reference.

Like others I found the headline confusing. I read it as "Researchers are predicting the use of Wikipedia as a vector for the spread of disease". This may mean that:

• Disinformation and ignorance are diseases.
• Memes and computer viruses are diseases.
• Wilipedia contains information that leads to depression.
• Instructions on Wikipedia lead to substance abuse.
• This is getting entertaining, fill in your own reason here.

So it's really cheaper to keep hundreds/thousands of machines all over creation to run and maintain than in a centralized building? I'm not sure I buy the longer term savings.

I am sure that fits. While SpaceShip II is mainly intended for a non-exploration purpose, the program has resulted in some significant advances in rocketry and White Knight II has significant non-tourism use. These pilots have been involved in other space efforts, I remember the one who was injured from the Rotary Rocket test flights. There are lots of safer ways for these folks to make as much money as a test pilot is paid. They do what they do to advance our progress in aeronautics and space.

It could be up to 10 years before they can have a replacement up to this level testing. Sounds crazy, but not unrealistic.
