The i7 mac mini makes a really cool home ESXi server (to learn vmware and run lots of different OSs).

It even runs Mountain Lion under visualization. (legally I might add).

I have the firewall up and nothing enabled in sharing but I'm sure that there more that I can do when using my computer during the event. The option of leaving it home is not available as I'll be responsible for some code during the conference.
