Well, it still wouldn't stop the local news stories that go "Could a Sex Offender be living in *your* neighborhood?"
Right, and that law is absurd and unconstitutional, which is why we are discussing it.
No, that was the Satan! I'll prepare the subpoena! *draws chalk pentagram*
The fact that mistakes can be permanent is nothing new, or maybe you've never lost a friend to street racing, drugs, etc...
The consequences of what? Being sexually mature but living in a society that pretends you aren't?
Please, won't somebody think for the children!
Yea, why not make it a saturday morning cartoon.
Surely none of the artistic meaning would be lost...
I think you underestimate 11 year olds.
I'm confident that you can show children anything and explain it to them. Your point is wrapped in your cultural biases. (those poor poor African children and their constant exposures to breasts...)

You say he's losing his focus by being a jerk, but it's possible the two are connected. If he had to spend time worrying about what people thought he might be distracted from his real work.
Obviously this doesn't mean you must always keep your hands off, but more geniuses are crushed than nurtured because they behave differently.
I a kid beats you to a conference, then maybe he understands 'reality' better than you...
There is a danger in the new generation expecting great things, but there is also a danger in the old generation discounting new ideas.
