Please read Surah 9:5 and 9:29 in the Quran, and tell me again that there is nothing in Islam that makes it war prone.

The reason Israels missiles "manage to strike crowded residental areas every single day", is simply becasue thats where Hamas sets up their rocket launchers. When you fire off rockets from within heavily populated civillian areas, despite the knowledge that your enemy is targeting your launch sites, bad stuff WILL happen.

However, if Israel hadnt kept on building settlements in the Palestinian areas of the west bank, sabotaging any attempt by the Palestinians to get a foothold in the U.N., or simply threated the Palestinians better, Palestinian resistance groups might not have felt as much need to attack Israel at any costs, but at the same time, firing off rockets towards your enemy from inside heavily populated civilian areas, makes Hamas at least party responsible for the heavy civillian losses in within Gaza City.

Maybe Israel should just take back what was Israel in 600 A.D., before muslims started conquering. Half of Egypt, most of Jordan, Lebanon and large chunks of Syria and Saudi Arabia were part of the state of Israel then. After all, it was taken from them by conquest, and that's all the justification muslims need, so why not do to them what they're doing to others ? They certainly deserve it.

Uhm, I think you spelled Byzantine Empire wrong.

Im actually happy that I got the chance to serve a year with the Norwegian Defense Forces (RNAF) fourteen years ago. To make the year more meaningfull and interesting, I made an effort to get into a conscripted officers course, which essentially let me serve my year as a UB-Corporal with responsibility for a few other conscripts. This also came with the option to continue on as a seargeant (and then second leutenant after another year) when my conscript year were over. However, I chose not to continue with a millitary career after my first year was up. All in all, I had a great year where I learned fundamental leadership skills, how to handle firearms safely, improved my self dicipline, and most importantly, learned that when I thought I had reached my physical and psychological limits, I still had a lot more left.

Windows 8 is far more powerful than windows 7, and runs twice as fast. It is also much harder to pirate, and this point more than anything else has the Linux crowd in a panic.

It wont be long until Windows 7 is no longer supported, and when that happens, what is Linux going to do ?

Linux will have to find a way to work under Windows 8 from here on, since it wont be able to rely on Windows 7 being readily available anymore.

Linux may seem like a good alternative to Office, but all that is happening in linux is that the windows interface is cleverly hidden away. It still needs the drivers and software services in order to run, and in most cases - that happens WITHOUT a valid windows licence.

This is just plain piracy.

Windows 8 will finally put an end to this blatant abuse of intellectual property, and linux should decline, taking the pirates with it.

Anyone that supports the continuation of Windows 7 in place of Windows 8 surely has a hidden agenda .. and you will surely be caught out.

Haha, love it! Had forgotten about that one. ;)

Well, that is not what parent said, and not what I reacted too. What he said was "I say kill them all, kill all ludites and eco tree huggers", which goes beyond just the specific eco-anarchists that shot the nuclear executive.

And by the way, if you think it's okay to kill anyone who thinks it's okay to kill people they disagree with, what makes you different from the people you want to kill? Think about it.

Yes. Let's just make it a rule to kill everyone who don't share our views. That would certainly make the world a much better place.
