I majored in Philosphy and Political Science and did programming as a hobby. I would totally do that the other way around now if I could. At least my masters was in HCI Design.

I have a choice between traditional web design and using AJAX-enabled pages. I can program my web app using traditional design methods or using AJAX. Does one use less energy than the other to server desired content to users? Should web designers be concerned about that?"
