This is 100% true and is the reason the Halloween storm a few years ago was so devastating. The 35 years of growth since I was a kid is the reason we seem to have so many new outages compared to growing up. During the housing buildup of the post war the trees were leveled to make way for streets and new neighborhoods. Now they've grown back and have been left unchecked for the most part. Many towns have taken it as a wake up call and are still having full time crews cutting back the trees.

It's half the reason I stopped playing it 15 years ago.

Despite the typical 'government is acting bad' attitude that persists here it is a valid question. NM, one of the poorest stats in the country, levied taxes specifically to support this. Now the whole thing is in question. VGs future is in question despite what they are telling the press. And they are at least 5, probably closer to 10 years behind schedule. The question of continued costs and funding is valid.

A few homeless people who hang out in the NYC subways all day catch it and see how controlled it is. Total nightmare scenario, and far from unrealistic. Why bother with suicide bombers when all you have to do is get a half dozen people infected and send them on the next airplanes to who knows where with instructions to maximize exposure. They don't even need to be successful and you'll see travel restrictions that dwarf after 9/11. Just what the world economy doesn't need right now.

Both of them have been funding it themselves for years, as has sierra nevada. Neither will have a work stoppage, at least for the near future.

Which is why there are accounting rules. I'm not saying it can't/isn't being done. But it isn't as simple as you lead on either. It's more about accountability to all the other people giving money for grants. Who would do it if they had no way of insuring the money they give goes to what they are giving it for.

Whose fault is it when you have 50% of the voters and can't fill 50% of the seats? Either women don't care and are too stupid to vote themselves in. Or they are smarter vote for men because they know they are the better choice. Which is it?
