Submission + - How to formalize "although" into sententia

In this passage he uses the word soul (Latin "anima") which is not given a formal definition anywhere in the Ethics. Therefore I'm trying to define this term deductively from the context in which it is given and the rules of Sentential Logic. My question is, then, given a sentence of the form "Although X, something about Y", how would you formalize that into sentential logic?
I was thinking
X — > ~Y
but it seems like it may be trickier than that.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give."
