I chose 50% cheaper because: I figure if they're cheaper, people are less tied to locked/contract phones. more freedom to choose without penalty will shift the research to improve the other criteria that people are buying for. basically, have my cake and eat it, too.

+1 came to post this. you could stream eye-fi to a tiny pc in your trunk powered w/ a dc-ac inverter, run linux on it, do whatever you want.

I see a lot talk about firearms when 3d printing discussions start, but my first thought was to print some new frames for my glasses. these things can cost hundreds of dollars, break easily, only consist of a few grams of plastic. I could have a different pair for every day of the year...
