How stupid can they be? I didn't even buy into the blu-ray hype. I only got a blu-ray player recently because a relative gave us their old one. I went out and bought one blu-ray disc (Prometheus). The movie glitched out halfway with audio and video garbage. Luckily it came with a DVD and online copy. It is the first and last blu-ray disc I will buy.

Sony is still angry about losing the beta-vhs war and is now fighting a battle nobody cares about anymore. Just like discs, the whole company is obsolete.

Sorry Dice, but I have to jump on the beta-hata wagon. I'll just point out two things:

1. Right side bar squeezes out comments. We are here for the comments, not whatever crap you want to cram down our throats.
2. Vertical spacing of text wastes tons of real estate. It looks like a High School book report padded to fill the required pages.

Dice Holdings, Inc: Please consider your next steps carefully. The /. castle was not built in a day, but it can easily be destroyed in a day. You have one chance to avoid a mass exodus. As others have said, eyeballs == advertising $$.

Stop trying to squeeze blood from a stone. The reason we come here is because most other news sites suck. If you want to throw your hat into the sucky news site ring, all I can say is good luck with that.

Good point. Why do billionaires live in lavish, oversized homes? Because they can. My wife and I both agree that if we got rich, we still would not live in a mansion. You can only be in one room at a time, unless you are The Doctor.

Here is the sad truth though - many iThing owners are not rich. Case in point: My sister-in-law could not pay the rent living with her parent's but she could afford her iphone and accompanying AT&T monthly fees.

I understand the market. I just don't understand why people so easily pay so much more for it. I know it is all about cachet and impressing your friends, so I guess rational thinking goes out the window.

If you buy ALL Apple products then all is well. As soon as you introduce a non-Apple product it all goes to sh1t. For example, my son has an android phone and a windows laptop. His frat house has Apple TV. Guess what? He can't do anything with it.
