After using Tree Style Tab (combined with Tab Mix Plus) for over three years now I can't imagine going back to tabs-on-top on a widescreen monitor *shudders*.

Never mind the better use of real estate, the hierarchichal nature of the tabs (the "tree" in the name) is just brilliant.

Why's that? Are the lowest bidders always the best experts?

Given that the ability of vinyl to accurately reproduce music is demonstrably much worse than that of CDs, is there an appeal other than nostalgia? Are music industry masterers applying less dynamic range compression to masters destined for vinyl for example?

I agree with you on that count, but the paleo diet is still flawed in that its fundamental premise - that at some point in the past mankind was somehow in sync with their environment, and their diet at that point was perfectly aligned with their nutritional needs.

This is apparently because our ancestors evolved to a stable state on one diet over a very long period of time.

This is a massive, and wrong, assumption. Humans were never in perfect harmony with their environment, even if such a condition is at all possible.
