no, the honeypot display only the worms that are already known.

All the bot makers would have to do is test it against AV software themselves,

Yes, this is what bot makers do. The stupid ones use Virustotal for this testing. The smart ones have their own private test cloud.
If this map exist or not does not change the bot maker's testing process.

Never forget than 50% of management is below median. You might think they would want to dispose of the deadweight, but they may be idiots.

You're not thinking it through. 50% of management will always be below median, however the median may change. It only makes sense to fire-and-replace if you actually believe you will end up with a higher median. Consider you are likely to end up with a lower median if your company earns a reputation for suddenly sacking 50% of its workforce. There is also wisdom in the saying better the devil you know.

VMware is. Mobile phone vendors aren't. Myself I am actively pursuing getting filthy stinkin rich and pregnant.

With the licensing fees VMware are getting they are org*sming from the thought of getting revenues from 10M+ devices. It will never happend because mobile phone vendors are passionately pursuing lower licensing costs, not higher.

Somehow I am not bothered by this, I mean other than the fact it will be prohibitively expensive and for that reason wont happen, it will also be trivial to circumvent for those who really want to.

I'm flabbergasted by your statement. You seem to be saying that you're not bothered that the government may log everything a citizen reads online, because criminals who really want to can circumvent the child pornography log device if they really want to.

I am very bothered by this device because no government should have access to a list of everything it's citizens read. We can be certain that at some point in the future, the contents will be used maliciously. The only way to prevent this is not to compile the list at all.

You're completely missing the target.

An unjust law should not be tolerated by citizens because there might be technological means to circumvent the law.

It's also quite easy to simply outlaw encryption.
