Too bad ixquick's search results suck.
Not as much as the other search engines but they're far away from google's.
A plus to using ixquick compared to SEs like http://www.ecosia.org/ is that they are ssl capable so you can use https://www.ixquick.com/ so nobody but them sees your search queries.
If you're connecting with putty it implies starting of from a risky platform.
Otherwise it wouldn't make a big difference.
With enough resources session keys can probably be replayed either way.
Why so negative?
The problem is that it doesn't matter how it looks.
That rule is for people that are to dumb to think of not disturbing other people with their constant texting, beeping and ringtone picking.
It's already bad enough when you're feeling good. Imagine how sick people must feel.
