Submission + - Using DVI/USB KVM switches with legacy PCs

denis-The-menace writes: "I would like to have a KVM switch with modern connectors (DVI / USB) but still have a way to use legacy PCs (VGA / PS/2) on it. For converting PS/2 connectors on a legacy PC to USB you can get converters (eg. $60 @ y-mouse.com). For converting a VGA connector on a legacy PC to DVI, I suppose you could use the DVI-2-VGA converter that comes with most video cards these days, plug that in the DVI connector in the KVM and use a regular VGA extension cable back to the legacy PC. I called tech support at Avocent but the clueless "telephone lifter" at the other end gave me the runaround. Has anybody tried to do this already or am I chasing a pipe dream?"

Submission + - NASA' s missing Apollo 11 Footage Found

denis-The-menace writes: Pink Floyd's Peter Clifton was sitting watching television when he saw NASA was searching for original Apollo 11 footage. He had all but forgotten a pristine 16-millimetre film of the moon landing was part of his vast personal film catalogue
