MPAA or GVM deleting music folders on macs?

azav writes: This morning I woke up after falling asleep to Braveheart on a newly purchased DVD to my Mac's fan spinning at full blast and the spinning watch cursor. I noticed that my background screen had changed from the standard mac blue to one featuring "you can run but you can't hide" with notices from the MPA (not MPAA) and the GVM (German federation against copyright theft). Additionally, my entire music directory was deleted containing DJ sets, copies of my personal CDs, recordings from myself, other DJs and friends, and favorite online shows and sets. My documents folder, downloads and favorites were also placed into the trash, probably to be emptied, before my mac spun with the spinning technicolor wheel of death. Also, two empty folders appeared on my desktop stating "is your bad activity", "the police come" and a file called "illegal_download.jpg". Nice to have your violations documented with empty folders while having your archives deleted. Sweet. Now, I run MAMP on this machine to preview videos to my clients so there is a web server on it but in a completely other directory. The "illegal_download.jpg" document stated that my "website had been closed on the behalf of the GVM and the MPAA". This is great since my website is for clients only and is in a completely different location than the material that was deleted. Of course, I find this rather confusing and it seems like there is either a hack, a tresspass OR Braveheart or Under the Tuscan Sun has spyware on it. Has anyone else seen or experienced anything like this? Merry merry.
