He can work in the FSF as VP of travel and evangelization. The President should be a new person. Someone fresh and young, with vision.
Using the hate as a way to force people to think like you is not good.

Also, a person with fresh memory will too. RMS forgot that the most used browser in mobile is webkit, an Apple product.

Without Steve the future of consumer technologies may be delayed. No matter if you use Windows o Android, everyone uses a technology based on Steve's Company: Apple. Thats why Steve was important.

Urbonas says that it is engineered to give a person a way to die with 'with elegance and euphoria.' From the article: 'The three-minute ride involves a long, slow, climb -- nearly a third of a mile long -- that lifts one up to a height of more than 1,600 feet, followed by a massive fall and seven strategically sized and placed loops. The final descent and series of loops take all of one minute. But the gravitational force -- 10 Gs -- from the spinning loops at 223 miles per hour in that single minute is lethal.'"

Apple Finally Removes DigiNotar Certs In Safari 149

Trailrunner7 writes "Apple has finally released a fix for the certificate trust issue caused by the attack on DigiNotar, more than a week after the fraudulent certificates were identified and other browser vendors moved to revoke trust in them. While Microsoft, Mozilla and Google had been communicating with users about the issue and pushing out new versions and updates to eliminate the compromised certificate authorities from their browsers, Apple had been mum about the attack and hadn't given any indication of when it might issue an update for Safari. On Friday the company published a security advisory for Mac OS X users, saying that it was removing DigiNotar's certificates from its trust list."

China Removes Cyberwar Video, Denies Everything 179

jjp9999 writes "Anyone looking for the video clip showing the Chinese regime launching cyberattacks using script kiddie tactics was greeted with a message stating 'Error Page — This page does not exist anymore,' on the state-run TV website. The propaganda video, still available on YouTube, included a clip showing an unseen user launching a cyberattack against an Alabama-based website of the Falun Gong meditation practice. China's Defense Minister told the Washington Post via e-mail that the video was 'pure action of the producer,' adding that the 'Chinese military has never implemented any form of cyber attacks.' The statement is the common line given by the regime after they're tacked with launching a global cyberattack — including after GhostNet, Operation Aurora, Operation Night Dragon, and Operation Shady Rat were revealed."

I registered to the site while on a 28kbps modem, Netscape 2 on Linux 1.3. Since then I have read the site every day, seriously. Sometimes many times per hour. I always recommend the site to people. If I meet someone and he read /., then he may know something about Tech/IT/Science, its a catalyst for finding real nerds.

The best poll was that about toilet paper, if you put the end at the top or the bottom. At the top is the right answer ;)

I'm proud that you accepted a few submission of mine, I'm really are. Don't know why but that makes me happy.
