Submission + - Half-Life 3 Trademark Filed in Europe

jones_supa writes: A trademark application for Half-Life 3, possibly the next entry in Valve's excruciatingly dormant Half-Life franchise, has been filed in Europe, according to the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, the European Union's trademark and designs registry. The OHIM's database lists the Half-Life 3 trademark as owned by Valve Corporation, and filed on its behalf by Casalonga & Associés, a patent and trademark firm. The trademark covers 'computer game software', 'downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices' and other goods and services. The application was filed on Sept. 29. There is no equivalent trademark on record at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

out there. Someone port Linux to it to replace the Windows RT OS with a Linux one designed for touch screens. Since it is ARM based I am sure Android can be ported to it as well. It is a much better solution that to just have Microsoft fill up a landfill with them because they won't sell.

Comment What I recently learned (Score 1) 173

from Thai relatives is that politicians and the government and judges and courts are all corrupt, take bribes, do what lobbyists say to pass laws in favor of corporations and not people.

The Thai philosophy is basically you cannot do anything about it, as even the elections are rigged, so don't worry about what you cannot control and just enjoy life. If you do worry about it and protest or complain, well the thought police will come after you to 're-educate' you in Room 101 so you'll love the government (big brother) anyway. They might even shoot you or arrest you without a warrant and throw you into jail without a trial. So don't speak back and complain and get all negative and post about it all over the Internet and draw attention to yourself so that the government notices it. Just be passive resistant, and do nothing, because if you do something there won't be anything left of you to do something for something else later.

You never got my jokes, satire, pranks way back in those olden days of IWETHEY when it was but an EzBoard and just migrated from those dull and boring Infoworld Forums. IIRC this was before the age of Slashdot.

I happen to have a Slashdot account older than this one, but I decided my Orion Blastar pen name seemed to fit it better.

None of you IWETHEY members had or have a sense of humor. It was nothing but a bunch of 'fart jokes' that you guys stole from 'Mad Magazine' and then pretended were original, clever, witty, and written like William Shakespeare in blank verse, but in reality it was more like Shakes the Clown writing in Word Salads.

Yes I am still alive, despite your assassination attempts, one of your assassins got my father by mistake because he has the same first and last name as me, and you all will pay dearly for that. I joined a bunch of survivalist pirates known as the Neo-Swashbucklers, a better bunch than you IWETHEY sissies.

I'm watching you Karsen, I know where you buried the bodies, remember that! :)
