Probably it really depends on where you live... Believe me, I NEED some damp in the winter, else with all the books I have the air becomes very dry when the wind from the south-west blows strong. And no, natural gas is NOT cheap here ;)

Nah, when it's cold / rainy I just hang my clothes inside, close (but not too much) to the wall heater (don't know the word for that, sorry), and they dry up just fine.

Gearing up is pretty easy nowadays, making gold is even easier, so there are no excuses: run heroics, prepare ahead, then step in and by all means most everybody will recognize your effort and help you; if you slack, by all means expect everybody to be shitty about it. Raiding should be for everybody, but ONLY if they are prepared to make an effort.

I believe you are right (just checked the "official" spelling), though in Italy we have always used Tienanmen. After all, it's just a translation of a word in another language with different characters... Mistakes do happen. Let's hope that it stays uncensored. Regards

My Toyota Yaris does (GPS-speed) about 3 km/h less than what the speedometer shows, which is actually quite good, as the typical error is about 10 km/h or so.

Never had any problem with "engine surges". I don't have cruise control nor an automatic stick, here in Italy cars typically have gear sticks.
