What's so special about our particular DNA configuration that we would have to preserve it at huge costs ?

We are the only living organism in the known Universe that possess such a high level of intelligence. Until we discover another species that can plan thier survival on interstellar basis, we are special and worth preserving.

I am part of this generation. I have no answers to your questions. All I can do is feel ashamed and speculate.

My guess is that my generation is spoiled rotten. We never had any challenges or widespread hardships compared to the generations prior. Baby boomers dealt with Cold War. The Greatest Generation before them fought in World War 2. We got everything delivered to us on a silver platter, so we never learned to appreciate it or even learnt concepts of respect.

What the activists did in Peru is discusting beyond words. All I can do is hope that they are a horrible exception and that (Degenerate though as we are) the rest of this generation are not as bad as them.

I dunno, maybe that makes me weird or something...

No. The opposite: It means that you are a normal, average human being. Sex is exciting for the reaction of the partner. Without this expression of desire and enjoyment, sex is just routine, empty and boring physical procedure.

Sex robots are a fantasy and nothing more. Just like threesomes: Probably every single man has that fantasy, but in practice it is rarely done and awkward.

Backup plan is to freeze my head, and wait for the technology to restore me from cold storage, even if they have to scan my frozen brain synapse by synapse or even closer than that.

Won't work because in the future noone will give a shit about you to go through the (Probably expensive) procedure to revive you.

I invite you all to help in building this afterlife.

Meh. That will take too much time, too stressful and considering you will need to convince the rest of the world: impossible.

Besides, why do I want to be old longer? My choice is to enjoy the time I have of my existance with my loved ones and die at about 75. Thats a good age to go before the really terrible age-related decline really hits.

That is quite a unique and novel idea. And it just might be crazy enough to work.

Of the top of my head, I would be worried about the surface of the bubble to remain flexible in such tempeture and all the crap in the water. It also must be quite strong to withstand the pressure/pucture issues. Also the motion would be quite chaotic, so it may not be easy to make it do useful work.
