I also find it neat that there is something man-made that is 17 light-hours away. That is reeeeally far.
Is that article originally from the Onion?
Geez, they're just lucky that they're still alive. That very big gun, capable of mowing down, well...just about anything, could have leapt out that box and killed her unborn child!
I mean, unloaded guns, still in packaging, have killed untold numbers of unsuspecting hipsters.
Probably not the most depressing story ever, but it took me a few days to recover from.
I don't like the requirement of moving my hand off the keyboard and over to the mouse just so I can navigate.
It's i3 for me.
Plus, the start menu paradigm is retarded, and the last time I bothered trying KDE they were just trying their hardest to be a shinier, blingier Windows.

The beauty of the NNF is that it fills the gaps and voids quickly, but still provides strong resistance for shock from cars driving over.
Except that it's in a bag, which would prevent that, wouldn't it?
As long as he donates it we can ignore how he got it? (illegally)
I love how every AGW story is filled with comments like "you're not a climatologist, so you're not qualified to question the results", but this story is filled comments from armchair physicists telling the people at CERN why they're wrong.
No further comment necessary.
Were I a nefarious evildoer, I'd just detonate myself while standing in the TSA grope line.
They're packed in like cattle there. More bang for your buck...as it were.
Man, what a bunch of whiny, entitled, douchebags.
Slashdot came up and worked fine for me, so that tells me one of two things:
1) I have tweaked my settings somehow and made it non-default in such a way that it looks good.
But I don't do much customization here, which tells me that the 'broken-ness' of the site is only a tweak or two away (by the developers or the masses).
or
2) Your weirdo, customized-to-the-hilt setup is to blame.
Either way, it's not the end of the world, a personal attack on you, or a result of complete incompetence.
Geez. Go take a walk.
I've never seen the 'Wikipedia is a MUD' comparison before, but it's completely awesome.
There are some good lessons in there.
Yeah, like:
I've noticed several design suggestions in your code.
