Windows phones and Tablets are less than 3% of the market. Why even develop for such a small market share?

Android (Which is linux) has 51% of the phone market and 61% of the tablet market.

It's not the year of the Windows Phone or Tablet, just like it is not the year of the linux desktop. :P

Ill agree with this, I am using a $9 keyboard that I have had for 7 years.

It is so well used that the following keys have no letter on them, they have rubbed off over the years.

I really don't think an expensive top of the line keyboard is needed. Grab you a cheap on that feels good to you and use it.

He is making noise about common carriers that are refusing to move is product based on it's potential to produce a weapon.

If they are common carriers they are not able to deny service based on a political view. That is like an ISP trying to block all republican sites on the Internet because they are owned by democrats. Which I can now say because the FCC has applied common carrier status to ISP's and called it "Net Neutrality" lol

Your windows delusion is grand for an anonymous coward! Having spent the better part of 20 years working as a Linux professional I can tell you that all the fortune 500 and above companies have, use, and enjoy Linux. It is well supported, COTS apps are all over the place, and the OSS tools are well documented within the companies where they are used. They are far better documented than the custom internally developed apps for windows that every company has.

Windows has it's place in business just a Linux does. No one OS can do it all perfectly and any manager/person who claims that all your problems can be solved by switching to (Linux/Windows/Mac/Solairs/HP-UX/AIX) should be fired on the spot!

Seems to me they could simply find and hire the right IT guy.

Hell, for the right amount of money I would do what ever they wanted. Drop me a couple of million and Ill give them a network and services that are close to untraceable and allow for the management of their business with little worry of the DEA figuring it out. I'd even include classes to teach there guys how to maintain security.

I originally posted that tongue in cheek. The company I'm at, as well as many I know of, is running some 2003 and most are 2008. They are starting to move to 2012 and the windows admins are having a fit because there is no GUI and they can't just RDP into the system.

This has lead to "Your the Unix guy, you know command line stuff. Why don't you take over running these windows servers? They're just like Linux."

lol

No they are not Techies they are "Power Users"

They think they are technical because the can navigate a gui, click on a button, and fill in a field. However they have no clue where the data is stored or what is going on under the GUI.

Hmm, that describes most windows admins. Wonder what they will do when windows goes command line and the GUI is no longer installed by default?
