Lol, I dont even smoke the stuff and I was pointing out industrial Hemp.

I also do not believe that it is right to ban a plant because some people smoke it. It is their life, their body, and their choice. Ignoring the science behind the plant is just stupid. I know it is as political as AGW but lets look at the real science and leave the religion out of it.

To be honest you make great points for the view that we are really in a geologic cold period and global warming is just returning us to average temperatures for geologic time frames.

That right, nobody burns hemp. Marijuana yes, but industrial hemp is no good for smoking.

Instead you make oil from the seeds that you can use for cooking and can even turn into biodiesel.
You can make paper, cloth, shoes, rope, etc, etc, etc from the plant locking up the carbon and making it into useful products.

For instance, we know that forests and the ocean absorb CO2, but we probably don't know which plants are the most efficient at doing so.

I hate to break it to you but we do know what plants are the most efficient. Hemp sequesters 22 tonnes of carbon dioxide per hectare. It is one of the top plants for sequestering CO2. I would also note that if you overlay the years that HEMP was produced as a cash crop in the US with the rise and fall of CO2 you will find they line up, including the increased production during WW2.

Well, yes but there is a limit to #4 and #5 I question to some extent.

So here is an experiment for you. Take a sealed room and add CO2 tell the concentration reaches 1500ppm, Add 2kw of Lighting and fill the room with plants. You will learn a few things, #1 the temperature does not increase much (.1c) #2 the plants grow much faster and larger, #3 The 1500ppm of CO2 is dropped to less than 200ppm in 48 hours, #4 You can breath just fine at 1500ppm of CO2.

Botanists and Weed growers have been augmenting CO2 in grows for years, It is common to bring the environment up to 1500ppm to increase plant growth.

No what I am saying is that the US government can not pick and choose which restrictions it wishes to be bound by.

What you are suggesting is that the US could pass a law that says "All non-citizens must be Christian" or that it would be OK to search, arrest, and detain anyone who is not a US citizen for no other reason than "S/He is not Christian"

If you think about it, allowing the government to do such things can, and more than likely will, lead to the government deciding who is and is not a true "Citizen" Thus creating a subclass of people who have no protected rights and can be detained, used for labor, and considered less than other Americans. Maybe they will be nice and say they are 1/5 of a citizen.

Really? Have you read the Constitution?

your interpretation is wrong, the Constitution lays the foundation for the US Government and outlines restrictions on the government. It does not grant rights and it does not say "The government can not do this to American Citizens"

For example, Amendment #1

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I could list them all but basically it restricts the government from taking actions that violate our inalienable rights. Those are the ones that we are granted by our creator. Some one in government decided that they can violate those restrictions provided it is only done to people outside the US. In my opinion that is BULL SHIT!

Most guys when asked their favorite color of lipstick reply with RED. Hint, there is no red. There is "Wild Orchid" and "Ruby" but no lipstick is just RED

You can also ask about pantyhose sizes, panty sizes, dress sizes, Hair colors, etc, etc. Lots of things that guys pay no attention to.

Then you get to the more obscure stuff like sex during a period tends to relieve cramps, Women will eat something before a first dinner date because the date is about the conversation and not the food. Heck if she gets into Sexting you can really toss some fun stuff in like descriptions of what you are doing to her labia or how you are pressing her cervix. Then watch to see how they reply, do they even know where those parts are?
