Thank you for this post. These silly stories by news agencies are simply meant to drum up sales. These "moral delima" articles are written by people who have no idea about programming or ai. An ai will never encounter a moral delima in the same way a human does, it simply operates too fast and is aware of so much more. It is also capable of much more simultaneously - with the only limit being the processing power and sensory input. The thing people should concern themselves with is a HUMAN taking control of the computer and causing accidents.

I've been wanting a slide keyboard on a high end phone for years, they just stopped making them. Personally I can't stand typing on glass, plus you give up a lot of control on games. I often miss my old Epic 4g and realize in hindsite that it was a better phone than anything out today.

Gold has value to people for a number of reasons, it has for thousands of years. Gold is used in electronics if you're looking for a 'market use'. Every major civilization in history started out using gold before their eventual collapse, often coinciding with when they got off of gold and switched to fiat currency/currency dilution.

I think some side-chatting and projects can be beneficial for moral, as long as people get their work done. Seems like often - modern thinking is to burn out your work force and get the most out of them - for the least pay of course.

What you're describing takes a fundamental change in the human condition of most people. Money and taxes are an enabler for those who are pro-authoritarian. I don't think the original posters thought should be dismissed so coldly.

I'm curious as to why it's not widely available in the consumer world. From everything I've read about it, it should've revolutionized a lot of industries ten years ago.

This seems highly technical which is great. I would say at best these issues are 5 years out. Plus, stacking processors + making them larger is always an option. The margins on processors can be slim at the low end, to many fold at the top. The manufacturers will have to learn to live on leaner margins all round.

They should make these people millionaires (in U.S. currency). Ultimately there is no compensation to the victims families for this.

Human beings need to understand themselves better; the machines will only be as good as their creators. We have no right and absolutely no need to build killer robots at this time. This further disconnects people from the reality of life and death.
