I tried Hulu Plus for a couple months, but it's just ridiculous. We were forced to watch the same unskippable commercials as we'd seen in the free version, and every week I subscribed it seemed like either the individual commercial breaks got longer or the number of breaks increased (and perhaps both). If I wanted to scroll back to re-view some critical part of the show, and that part happened just before a commercial - I get to watch the commercials AGAIN. And there wasn't anything I wanted to watch that was on Hulu Plus but not on regular Hulu! So basically they wanted me to pay their subscription fee just to remove the artificial restriction that prevents non-Plus subscribers from watching Hulu on devices other than their computer.

So if you haven't experienced it, here's the executive summary: The Hulu Plus experience is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, given the company was the brainchild of a couple broadcast networks.

I don't care what exclusives they get - I will never subscribe to Hulu Plus again.

Stating that something must lay beyond the "edge" of the universe, as the submitter does, basically means the person doesn't really understand basic cosmology.

I second this. I don't know if I'll buy one; but, if I do, it'll be because of the health sensor / monitoring functions.

I don't need to see my texts on the device, nor my phone calls. I have a phone already, and pulling that out of my pocket isn't onerous. Heck, if I'm at my computer most of my texts show up there already, since most of them come via iMessage - and in a few months even the SMS ones will be there.

Good news! You can buy watches now - and they come in quite a range of prices and styles!

That would be quite an accomplishment for someone with Nadella's pate.

I imagine that is the eventual goal Google has - it's just not feasible with current battery technology.

It shouldn't have been built, but for other reasons - the biggest one being the enemy for which they're designed to fight is not who the US military is likely to be dealing with in the future.

What role do these hyper-advanced aircraft have when you're fighting Al-Qaeda, ISIS, or whoever the stone-age-terrorist-du-jour is? We're not going to be fighting China, that's for sure; both they and we are way to inter-dependent.

So sure - the money already spent is sunk cost. But why throw good money after bad?

You know what was a really good Microsoft offering, for its time? Microsoft Dinosaurs. And I liked Encarta as well.

The web has largely rendered those sorts of projects pointless from a corporate perspective, obviously. Plus I haven't used Windows as my main desktop OS for 13-14 years.. but still, I have fond memories of those two products.

Don't worry, Google will be improving the tool soon - they plan to do it right after they've updated Google Voice!

I suspect he likes pretending he has other interests than patent litigation, though, since that isn't the sort of thing that's going to look great in an obituary.
