Submission + - PDF to Become an Open ISO Standard
An anonymous reader writes: Linux-Watch reports that Adobe has released the full PDF 1.7 specification to AIIM (the Association for Information and Image Management), with the intention that AIIM will begin converting PDF into an open, ISO standard. Interestingly, Adobe's announcement comes one day prior to the public release of both Vista and Office 2007, both of which implement XPS, once described as a PDF killer.
