Scientists Discover Booze That Won't Give You a Hangover 334

Kwang-il Kwon and Hye Gwang Jeong of Chungnam National University have discovered that drinking alcohol with oxygen bubbles added leads to fewer hangovers and a shorter sobering up time. People drinking the bubbly booze sobered up 20-30 minutes faster and had less severe and fewer hangovers than people who drank the non-fizzy stuff. Kwon said: "The oxygen-enriched alcohol beverage reduces plasma alcohol concentrations faster than a normal dissolved-oxygen alcohol beverage does. This could provide both clinical and real-life significance. The oxygen-enriched alcohol beverage would allow individuals to become sober faster, and reduce the side effects of acetaldehyde without a significant difference in alcohol's effects. Furthermore, the reduced time to a lower BAC may reduce alcohol-related accidents."

danamuse writes: Millions of schoolchildren are now being raised running Linux at school using multiseat Linux software from Userful. 30,000 schools worldwide are running Ubuntu, Fedora, SUSE and other distros along with Userful's multiseat software which turns one Linux PC into ten virtual desktops. Apparently Microsoft is going to be selling their own multiseat solution called Windows MultiPoint Server 2010, a full seven years after Linux had multiseat figured out. Seems like Linux found a good way to gain marketshare, and now Microsoft is scrambling to stop it.

It also gives a links to some browsers that the user can use. The interstitial will appear every two weeks to remind any users still on older browsers to upgrade to the most recent version of their browser. While users on these old browsers will still be able to watch the video, Google says that some new functions that they will be rolling out will not be supported in these browsers.

Designed to tunnel connections through DNS in the style of NSTX, this can bypass virtually any firewall, provided a local DNS server exists. It supports file transfers, tunneled sockets, command shells, and more! The documentation even has an example of how to tunnel an SSH session through DNS!

Work finally got interesting - state govt role 3 weeks old - something finally happened. I was asked to deliver an environment to some testers, so they could test something... then discovered they didn't have logins to the app itself... now waiting for a decision about how those logins should be created. It was not boring for a while

An anonymous reader writes: Simon Wright, the Owner of the Australian website whirlpool.net.au is being sued by Australian Company 2Clix.

From Whirlpool:

The Statement of Claim from the company alleges that Simon Wright allowed statements "relating to the Plaintiff and its software product that are both false and malicious" to be published on the Whirlpool forums.

2Clix is suing for at least AUD $150,000 (plus costs), and is demanding that two forum threads be removed from the site.

Whirlpool believes the action has no merit and will defend the matter vigorously, despite being a community website with little resources.
