Submission + - a new recyclable bicycle (fastcodesign.com) 1

kjshark writes: "It’s project designed to be manufactured at about $9 to $12 per unit (and just $5 for a kids version), making it not only one of the most sustainable bikes you could imagine, but amongst the cheapest,"

Just the first two sentences of this article disqualify this shill from being taken seriously. The claim that Obama "justified elevating bureaucrats over entrepreneurs" is a disingenuous straw man.Obama is not doing that. Obama's speech is a direct response to the republican party line that:

1. Taxation is bad
2. Regulation is bad
3. Unions are bad

Obama is correct in saying that no one succeeds in a vacuum. The wealthiest need the government protections, regulations and infrastructure to succeed. The fact that they enjoy these benefits, but don't want to pay for them is understandable (many of them are psychopaths), but the the rest of us should not allow them to get away without paying their fare share. This is not elevating bureaucrats, it's recognizing the legitimate power of the government and the people of a republic.

This isn't just a "study out of Canada". It's a study of Canadian university students. So maybe it's being Canadian and not being on facebook that makes these subjects such mutants. I'll bet it's their national healthcare that does it. Freaky progressives is what they are.

As someone who has worked in child protective services. I can tell you, as mentioned in the article; the mere accusation of being involved in child sex will ruin your life. I'm not commenting on his guilt or innocence, but look how many people were willing to believe the worst about Michael Jackson before any facts got out. I mean "the guy's successful and weird, so he must like little boys”!

It's not that simple. I'm not a slave, yet I must still follow laws of the state. Right now attempted suicide is illegal. You can argue that laws should be changed, or that you have the right to ignore laws, but "you should be free to do whatever you want with your body" is clearly false by any moral measure. It depends how that "whatever" affects others.
