Oh. For a minute there I thought you meant real evil. You know, the kind where there is not just collateral damage and politicians finding out thast you hate them, but targeted murder of completely innocent civilians. So, fight evil with evil? No, I'm not for that, but no reason to completely lose one's perspective.

That's actually what it's like at "Mojave Spaceport". Hangers of small aviation practicioners and their junk. Gary Hudson, Burt Rutan, etc. Old aircraft and parts strewn about. Left-over facilities from Rotary Rocket used by flight schools. A medium-sized facility for Orbital. Some big facilities for BAE, etc. An aircraft graveyard next door.

I don't really understand the rage being directed at Google here. They have fixed the issue in new versions of Android. If they back-ported the fix to 4.3 (assuming that's even possible) what would make carriers/manufacturers implement the fix when they already aren't updating the core version? Nothing. And they wouldn't. The carriers/manufacturers have financially abandoned these older models in favor or their new stuff.

People are used to a big brother company controlling everything about a software experience (Apple, Microsoft). The google approach is open. Unfortunately this requires the user to do a little bit of thinking, make an informed choice, and support the right companies with their money.

There is no reason that we have to pick one and abandon work on the others. I don't see that the same resources go into solving more than one, except that the meteor and volcano problem have one solution in common - be on another planet when it happens.

The clathrate problem and nuclear war have the potential to end the human race while it is still on one planet, so we need to solve both of them ASAP.

The gag is that the seriously wealthy aren't worried about Obama's new tax policies, because they can afford a tax lawyer who can prove that they earn nothing.

If you haven't been paying attention for the past few millennia, the purpose of government is to transfer resources from the masses to the few. I know, they don't tell that to the masses in their indoctrination centers, but if you look at all available evidence, it's pretty clear.

Sure, they throw a few bones to the dogs to make sure they don't turn on their owners, but look at every available trend and analyze the data.
