"What is truly scary is...this is it folks, this is the BEST the parties have to offer. Kinda sad isn't it?"

Obama may be no Bill Clinton, but with a less Obstructionist opposition he could have done a lot of good the last four years. How do you deal with a party that says we will not negotiate on anything and will go to the wall on every issue regardless of the consequences?

What's insanely scary is the leadership of the Right has just said this morning that they have no intention of trying to compromise AT ALL PERIOD for the next four year. They said it is 100% on Obama to come to them. What the fuck McConnell?

You want to play with Apple, you go by their rules and don't get to complain when things don't work out. I guarantee OS X 10.9 will be App Store only as well and Apple will give a crap if Photoshop and Office are not available for the Mac anymore. Let alone you puny developers. Remember, someone else will gladly take your place.

Does it look like Apple needs money? Apple doesn't need Adobe, Microsoft, or anyone anymore. They are like a giant self sustaining black hole that refuses to burst. And yet I do like my old Macbook and will probably purchase an Air to replace it at some point. Freaking Hypocrite. Sigh.

Finally they did Snow Leopard as well! You know, that OS that most Mac users are currently using?

They still haven't released Safari 6 for Snow Leopard or released Safari 5.1.8 etc to address the 121 fixes that Safari 6 brought to Lion. That's a huge problem. I'm very happy they fixed Java but why did they bother when Safari 5 is loaded with so many other flaws they won't bother fixing?

Considering how long it took for Gnome to become useable I am confident to this day that Linux on the Desktop would be light years ahead of where it is now if we had all just stuck with KDE from the get go. Of course that was when I actually cared about Linux on the Desktop. Linux has a bright future, just not on the desktop regardless of who is to blame.

You should really read the full article. I know a whole 5 pages wahhh, but seriously it is well written and a very scary tale of someone being railroaded by the legal system. It was only through the charity of some celebrities and twitterers that he was able to appeal and get it overturned. Most of us would just be screwed and have to live with it. In the end he still had to go through losing his job and the ordeal of being a convicted criminal. Sad.

Sorry to be a bit trollish here but Apple, you know the richest company in history with money to burn, refuses to spend money to support an OS that is only 3 years old and that pisses me off.

Since when can nobody program for the Xbox 360?

Although MS is certainly working on a replacement what's the rush? Both the Xbox and PS3 still have plenty of engaging games that look awesome your typical 42" TV. Add to that all the online services like Netflix etc that they have been adding and what exactly are you missing out on? Spending money on new system that does what? Better graphics? Graphics don't make the game.

This longer period between new systems may frustrate graphic whores, not saying you are one, but it has lead to a stable console platform that gamers have gotten a lot of value out of. That's not such a bad thing especially when you look at all of the great games that continue to come out. Anyway that's my 2cents.

Good idea.... until you get into a car accident or slip and fall and break your hip and have chronic long term pain. Or have some other serious medical condition and it drains your life savings within months. I'm sure some Americans could make that work but not most.

Fact: Most Americans are terrible at saving money, even ignoring the fact that salaries have been stagnating and our current situation makes saving difficult. If they enable "save and pay your own way" for everyone we'd all be doomed. The only solution is stop this partial Universal Healthcare crap and go Full Universal and abolish the current private Insurance system.

50 years from now they'll be looking back and wondering what the hell we were thinking allowing private insurance to screw us so badly for so very long.
