It never ceases to amaze me how stupid moderators are. There's been lots of discussion lately on moderation.

I've seen it happen all the time with other posts, Now one of my posts has fallen victim to "Moderators on Crack Syndrome"

Here's some general guidelines:

Don't be an idiot. If you don't like someone's opinion, Ignore it. Don't mod them down. Chances are, someone will agree with it.

Use points for positive moderation, not negative, just because you disagree, or you don't like someone. If someone's way off base, use negative moderation then and only then.

Instead of wasting points on posts that aren't necessarly worthy of being moderated up, but are on topic, may not agree with you and generally should be left alone.

Gawd.. I'm so proud I can actually piss someone off. I feel so totally special!

Actually, It looks like he's pretty unselective with his foes

I don't feel so special anymore.

And, he's probably one of those types that uses foes to squelch opinions that do not match his own.
