Thank you, I was looking this. I was afraid that there weren't any old-school hip-hop lovers on Slashdot.

I've always wondered why automobile makers don't make use of the Windshield as a HUD for GPS directions/Dashboard info, etc.
That would be a better than having to look down slightly to glance at a screen a few inches below on the Dash. I'm sure someone is doing this but I haven't seen or heard of a car that has this.
So basically you're saying that people can install MS Office or Dreamweaver, but not FileZilla?
No, that's not what I'm saying. The post I replied to said that pretty much every third party client has SFTP support. Given that Windows ships with an ftp client and server, Why won't they ship an SFTP client or server? MS gives us telnet, but no ssh. WTF!? Pretty much every OS I've used in recent years has these, but Windows does not.
I can't see why they should be considered well-regarded then. That's negligence. Pretty much every Windows FTP client for the last 5 years commercial or otherwise does SFTP now.
Well, third-party clients, Yes. But, why is that in 2009, Microsoft doesn't ship a client (or a server) that does SFTP with their OS?
... to FTP to Mars.
My bad! I meant nLite, not BartPE.
..On whether these caps will affect Earthlink Subscribers? (of which I am one.) If so, I will be looking for another provider and make sure that they know that the Bandwidth caps/Metered Billing are the reason I'm leaving.
If you're a TW/Earthlink customer, and use any linux/BSD/Opensolaris distro and update frequently, you should be concerned about this.
While you are correct in that it can keep certain cheating individuals out of hot water w/ their S/O's. If I really wanted to store the Mistress' number on my phone, I'd add it as an alternate to an existing contact.
Won't raise suspicion unless you're S/O answers your phone and it's the other one calling...
And, before you go there; No, I'm not cheating.
1. A more complete bluetooth stack that does OBEX and A2DP and Syncing.
2. an IChat client.
3. A side swipe like the one in Mail and SMS to delete individual calls from the recents List.
4. Notes Sync with the Desktop.
5. Voice Dialing (ala Voice Commmand on Winmo) would be nice.
Seconded. This is so annoying.
May I recommend then, this page?

They've been fairly accurate in predicting when the next refresh happens. Plus you can read what the mac-heads think about the HW in the Discussion boards. (hint: it not all wine and roses.)
I'm also a big fan of flashing the firmware of anything you can get your hands on whilst under the influence of a 4 pack of beer.
Oh Wow you Too!?! I Love flashing firmware. I try to update firmware on almost any device I come across.
Throw this Cuban Linux Distro on an ePC and Whenever you pull it out: "Say hello to my little Friend."

This minimalist distro that you speak of.... The one with a "very good package system" that's controlled via this command "apt-get". Can we call it something geeky like oh, I don't know, Debian? Or how about something more worldly, like Ubuntu?
I like your ideas.
