Sometimes I wonder if Linux should have functionality similar to AIX's trustchk.
Tripwire, SELinux, AppArmor...
grsecurity is more advanced then AppArmor,
and even then SELinux.
AppArmor does some simple RBAC
SELinux does good RBAC
GrSecurity does good RBAC, and provides wonderfull set uf kernel self-protection, memory protecion, randomization, logging, chroot jailing stuff (from PAX project). http://grsecurity.net/features.php
With friends we now develop a Hardened Debian offspin that includes grsecurity, for now just a tiny addon to Debian, but it does provide grsecurity kernel for debian pre-built and checksummed realibly for well over half year now.
