The list includes sites filestube, Bomb-Mp3, Mp3skull, Bitsnoop, Extratorrent, Torrenthound, Torrentreactor and Monova, and at least one ISP — Virgin Media in the UK — has confirmed the number of targetted sites.

Before it was thought that only six sites were lined up for a chop.

Submission + - Cryptolocker Ransomware: What You Need To Know (malwarebytes.org)

kn9sli001 writes: Just last month, antivirus companies discovered a new ransomware known as Cryptolocker. This ransomware is particularly nasty because infected users are in danger of losing their personal files forever.Cryptolocker will encrypt users’ files using asymmetric encryption, which requires both a public and private key.
The bad news is decryption is impossible unless a user has the private key stored on the cybercriminals’ server.Currently, infected users are instructed to pay $300 USD to receive this private key.Infected users also have a time limit to send the payment. If this time elapses, the private key is destroyed, and your files may be lost forever

Comment US Military throws new tools overboard (Score 2) 347

The U.S. Government does this kind of thing on a regular basis. I personally have watched as hundreds of sets of socket wrenches and electronic devices ie. boom boxes, portable T.V.s and other brand new objects were thrown into the ocean, when I asked WTF? I was told the tools were cheaper to replace than ship them from Norfolk VA. to Jacksonville FL. When I asked why the boom boxes etc.I was told they were purchased for the ships store at overseas retailers and the paperwork would have been prohibitive because of having not paid taxes overseas. DEEP SIXXED in International waters. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

The point made is that most Religions believe that you choose the road you walk on. As long as it is the path that particular religion has chosen as the "Right path to walk" If you follow THE PATH (the path the particular religion deems is the correct path) you won't fall off the edge into a sea of fire to roast for all eternity. Bring marshmallows.

No, see this is how bad legislation works, you have a giant angry chunk of nasty, then it gets defeated into smaller chunks of nasty, those get defeated into even smaller chunks of nasty.

Eventually the individual chunks don't seem to matter so they get passed.

In the end some rich guy strokes his dick with money.

And then They sneak the little chunks of nasty into a bills that have nothing to do with the original nasty, and "We the People" don't even realize that our will has been circumvented. And in the end " A WHOLE BUNCH of RICH Guys are circle jerking and "WE the People" are the pivot man.

I agree, the user base screamed bloody murder when they found out win8 didn't have a start button. Almost every review repeated this.MS released Win 8 like that anyway and are paying the price. Stardock has made a mint with Get start back. But that was just one problem with 8. Bill might need to put a hold on his charities and come back and save his company . Like Steve Jobs did. Before it's too late.
