Strangely I feel like trusting the judgement of someone who has. Stupid right?

Gotta tell you man, I'm not light about my gaming, I play all genres, during many hours. That's pratically all I do in my free time. I'm the ~1000 hours clocked into the Monster Hunter franchise, ~400 hours into the X universe, ~250 hours into the borderlands franchise kind of gamer and I really don't get all the bro's resistance to these gimmics, they aways look so awesome to me.
I'm also very carefull and wait to see if anyone will make good use of them but this one in particular seems to have much more potential than most gimmics.
Having said that this is a microsoft product and I won't play a xbox even if people paid me to do so. The only good thing out of it will probably be the youtube experimentation videos just like with kinectic.
Also, the Oculus rift will render it obsolete anyway.

In the videogame industry it seems that you have a way bigger chance to be conned by big companies than kickstarter pledges and indie developers. It would be nice to have some data on it. Granted, in both acts you take a risk but you seem to get what you ask for more regulary in kickstarters.

Or maybe it's just the price. I for one buy anything for 20 dollars or less even if this is the release price, even if I'm not sure I'll have time to play the game. I bought Torchlight 2 at release price since here in brazil it was the equivalent of 17 USD, also Borderlands 2 at 50% discount (~23 USD).

I might be way off since I don't really understand the subject but is it possible that this difference between a mostly genetic drift and a mostly natural selection races the difference between dominating and being dominated by the environment? This research might end up helping pinpoint when we started using our brains to modify the environment around us?

I even thought about running fallout 2 or magic carpet on it but it was way too slow. Maybe now that handhelds are getting more and more powerful dosbox might actually be a ok idea for some stuff, but I doubt the touch interface is going to make it a pleasant experience.

Hell yeah I'll skimp, and you know why? Because it's fucking retarded not to that's why. Upgrading anything but the video card gives you close to no performance gain except for a few very specific cases (like wii emulators). And don't get me wrong I have plenty of money, but what happened with voting with your wallet? You know you're fostering retarded business practices don't you?
