Submission + - UK Government says progress made on internet filters. (bbc.co.uk)

Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Easiest Linux Distro to join mac server via GUI 1

PsyMan writes: Hi slashdotters, I am looking to replace about 25-30 Windows XP installations with a Gnome 2 or KDE based Linux distro and they need to play well with Snow Leopard Server's Open Directory. I have muddled around with a fair few types but am yet to find anything with a simple directory GUI for Authenticating against the Mac server and allowing the same roaming profile setup as the 100+ iMacs enjoy. XP used to have no problems joining it when it was running as a PDC but recent updates and newer Mac Server versions have all but eliminated that function so I am looking for something to replace it thats easily managed. Any suggestions? I don't really want to be editing multiple config files by hand if I can really help it.
