They purchased AMC 20 years prior to your vehicle purchase. And Jeeps have never been known to be things like 'leak free'. OTOH, I was rather impressed with how they built them, at least relating to the 1978 CJ5 I used to have. Ran several miles at highway speed with no oil in the sump. And for tens of thousands of miles after refilling it :D Oh, it had about 80,000 miles on it when I bought it. But problem free? Well, how did the oil drain out?

Point is, if you had gone by anything other than anecdotal evidence, you would have known what you were in for.

BTW, if a mere word inflames your hemorrhoids and thus causing your butt to hurt, perhaps you should consult a proctologist.

So if an African American objects to being called a 'nigger', an Asian Indian to being called a 'wog', a Hispanic to being called a 'spic', etc. you think they should all consult a protologist? All of these terms are or were in far greater usage than 'USian'.

Reasonable idea, but I suspect GE, Samsung, Whirlpool, and all the other manufacturers of Internet connected widgets will force you to buy a certificate from their app store. Hacking your light bulb to install your own certificate will be a federal crime, punishable by PMITA prison or worse.

I'm not sure him being Jewish was relevant. He never mentions it in the part of his diatribe that I read on scribd. Never mentions synogogue or any aspect of Jewish life. I'm guessing that while he may have some genetics that indicate he is of partial Jewish descent, I haven't see that he is one in a cultural, mental, or religious manner.

Presumably the point of the lasers is to deliver data. It is not transmission for the sake of transmission. Similarly, the point of the truck and the Maserati is to move something. The most salient analogy would be cargo. But even if it were to move human beings, a truck, train, or freighter is much better than a Maserati unless your goal is to move a single person. Is this quad laser system for moving a single packet? I doubt it.

A link with a 5ms latency and 25mb symmetrical upload and download width is a faster link than a link with a 350ms latency and 1024mb/1mb asymmetrical width by any reasonable definition of the word.

Depending on what kind of data is being moved. Interactive web? Probably unnoticeable except for some AJAXy type stuff. For gaming? Sure, you're right. For doing a 500mb transfer via ftp or similar?

I'll take the freight train.
