An anonymous reader writes: On Friday Linode announced a precautionary password reset due to an attack despite claiming that they were not compromised. The attacker has claimed otherwise, claiming to have obtained card numbers and password hashes. Password hashes, source code fragments and directory listings have been released as proof. Linode has yet to comment on or deny these claims.

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but the US is not the only country in the world. If its the flagship everywhere else, we should consider it THE flagship. I'm curious, does the carrier exclusivity expire in the US? Or will the 920 only ever be available from one carrier? This kind of practice has always seemed to me like it should be illegal...or severely limited.

I'd rather say the 920 is their flagship, having better features and all that.

Soon after the landing, the first images came from Curiosity’s cameras, showing pebbles, dust, and the shadow of the rover on the surface of Mars.

It seems this thumbnail sized black and white image is just a test picture taken by the Cameras of Curiosity to test the Image taking and sending functionalists. We may expect high quality images later.

Over its two-year initial mission, Curiosity will drill, sample, and laser-shoot rocks on the Martian surface to figure out what minerals and elements they contain. In particular, the probe will search for organic carbon that could indicate fossilized life forms. Even more exciting, the rover will also sniff the Martian atmosphere for gasses such as methane that could be a sign of present-day life.

Curiosity was designed and built by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Curiosity is powered by a radioisotope thermoelectric generator (RTG).

The Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission has four scientific goals:

1.Determine whether Mars could ever have supported life
2. Study the climate of Mars
3.Study the geology of Mars
4. Plan for a human mission to Mars"

It doesn't look all that much like an iPhone...although the feature set is similar. He was way ahead of his time though.

Forrester's institute at MIT says that the world could suffer from "global economic collapse" and "precipitous population decline" if people continue to consume the world's resources at the current pace(http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/next-great-depression-mit-researchers-predict-global-economic-190352944.html). The study's researchers created a computing model to forecast different scenarios based on the current models of population growth and global resource consumption, different levels of agricultural productivity, birth control and environmental protection efforts. Most of the computer scenarios found population and economic growth continuing at a steady rate until about 2030. But without "drastic measures for environmental protection," the scenarios predict the likelihood of a population and economic crash.
