Submission + - McAfee Anti-Virus on Mobile Linux

AceJohnny writes: If you thought that Linux was a secure bastion against dangerous threats on the evil "Open Internet", McAfee believes you're wrong. At least on mobile applications, that is. McAfee has announced that they will develop security solutions for Moblin Linux, a linux distribution spearheaded by Intel and targeted at Mobile Internet Devices (MID, of which the Nokia n810 is an example).

As MIDs rely on the open Internet to bring applications and services to people, they will be susceptible to similar security challenges as the PC. McAfee's security solutions will help protect service providers and their subscribers from external threats.

. That's what the Atom's x86 compatibility brings us: virii and anti-virus vendors.
