I fail to see how women being driven out of engineering jobs is keeping women form playing videogames. As for your first link, they throw out a lot of percentages, but they lack one huge, core thing - What are the percentage of female graduates from STEM fields? With the companies that they are getting on their case about hiring percentages, they fail to realize that the percentage of female graduates is only 20% of all STEM bachelors holders. So technically, they are pretty damn close to hiring what graduates from schools. I mean, if these numbers were closer to 5%, yeah, that would be a problem, but when 20% of STEM graduates are females, and the women working in STEM fields is around 20% at these companies, it seems like everything is where it should be.

Sorry for the double post, but you are aware that there have been multiple, massive ethics breaches that have been uncovered. The movement is not related to a solitary event that you seem to think it has. And if we are talking about the same thing, nobody has ever refuted what was said. Taking the side you are taking in this also makes you a rape apologist.

The only console I'm considering buying right now is a PS4, due to Arc System Works not releasing anything on PC besides outdated versions of their fighting games... and KH3 if it gets released. I play mostly ARTS games right now (DotA and HoN are what I main), so switching to console for what I enjoy doesn't really seem to be in the future. I wouldn't mind playing FPS on a bigger screen and not huddled over my desk, though. I might enjoy it more on a big TV. I'm just too lazy to hook my PC up to it.

There also is the possibility that Linux gaming might finally mature, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Seems like it's supported to me, since it's on Sony's page. Granted I've never used either so I can't confirm/deny the Analog spoofing.

If you have used a Xim adapter, or something like it, you would understand why the analog spoofing is kinda a big thing I'd not want to see. They give more precision than a controller, but it takes a long time to get used to the quirks of using it.

Again, the Bass shoes that I bought have really strong soles, and are super comfortable. I spent 6 months in these shoes walking around a hospital or standing at a work station fixing it. The hospital was one of the huge medical centers, and it was like a half mile (or more) to just get to the other side of the building, and I was consistently walking everywhere. While it may not be a very long distance like some people's commute, I did put a ton of wear on the shoes and they are still going strong.

We'll see if they get actual support. The only time I'll move this goalpost is to say that when using keyboard and mouse, that the Mouse is read like an actual mouse, not Analog spoofing like a Xim adapter does. While they are quite nifty, the precision isn't there.

Also, I never said I'd be giving them money, I said we could have the discussion of moving to consoles as a major gaming platform.

No, not exactly. There is still a repository of generic drivers for things (as well as specific drivers). We had to use the option you listed above on the machines at a hospital I worked at a few years back due to an extremely slow connection to Microsoft. Basically, you could plug in a keyboard, and it would search Windows Update for 5 minutes before being able to use it. So when that option was checked, instead of getting "Dell 104 Key USB Keyboard" with a nice little picture of it, you get "Generic USB Keyboard" installed, and it works just fine.

If you have a PS4 you can live without Windows games too.

When any console supports KB/M for FPS, we can talk about not using a Windows system for gaming. Until that time, I'll be on my PC.

Also, the 3x MSDN keys I'm using for my system (gotten from an IT Teacher) are all getting upgraded to Win10 Pro N. Zero money give to M$.
