Submission + - iTunes woes and censored commentary

robnator writes: You may have heard all about this by now from other fanbois, but for several weeks, Apple has been having some trouble with it's iTunes store. At least for subscribers to the Fox Television show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it's been one trial after another. First, inconsistent meta-data marred the episodes, leaving words from the title or containing misspellings which left them seeming as separate shows to the iTunes browser. Then, possibly due to air-date changes by Fox, the episode titles and descriptions were mixed, causing duplicate episodes and download troubles. About 11 weeks into the "season" someone at Apple caught wind of the problem posted in over thirty reviews on the iTunes Store, and cleaned up the episode titles and other meta data for the existing episodes. This week struck a new low, with the canceling and re-issue of the season pass, delay of the release of this week's episode, and apparently omitting that episode from the previously purchased season passes. Also gone are the 50 or so reviews detailing iTunes shortcomings in this saga from the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Season 2 page (was >180, now ~130). Full disclosure: upon being made aware of the problem, iTunes support has offered to replace the munged episodes, and provided credit sufficient to acquire the missing episode, at least on an individual basis. However, in my not-so-humble opinion, a responsible merchants would not wait on individual complaints, but take the lead and inform their customers of the trouble and re-issue with out charge the mislabeled episodes, and take their lumps and leave the (fair but) negative comments.
