All hail our next President. The Republicans will nominate someone who will look like Satan biting the heads off of babies and drinking their blood compared to Hillary.

So Hillary will be our next president. And because Manning embarrassed her with the leak, she's going to clamp down on what little freedoms we have left. She's going to make Obama look like he's been a huge support of freedom of expression and freedom of the press.

Maybe after 8 years of Hillary, we'll get someone who actually thinks our basic freedoms are a good idea.

I'll vote for a third party candidate as a protest. If enough people join me, maybe someone will notice.

Except SCOTUS invalidated those kind of combination patents in KSR v Teleflex. You cannot get a patent for doing an old thing in a new way, unless there is something truly innovative.

I did this to a friend, on his Christmas computer. Him, his father and his Marine buddies all seriously contemplated killing me. They were utterly furious and I didn't return for a long time. Of course, the gentleman featured on the desktop were unclothed in addition, but aren't we all, in a sense? Good fun, indeed.

Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia. The idea that Ford paid his workers more so they could buy cars is so ridiculous it is hard to believe the myth has spread so widely. Well not so hard to believe since so many people want to find references that "prove" the opinion they already had. I guess by this logic Boeing should raise their workers' wages high enough that each of them could buy a new jetliner. What is Boeing thinking by leaving those potential orders unfulfilled?

Is "you" singular or plural?

I know it bothers some people, but I use the singular "they" for a gender neutral third person pronoun. I think once a person gets used to it they will prefer it to "he or she".

That is not true if you use Lenovo.

Lenovo doesn't want customers to be able to upgrade their laptops, so they implemented a list of approved mini-pci cards that can be used in them. It's called "bios whitelist".

Therefore if you have a Lenovo laptop you will have to change the whole laptop. Presumably to a different brand that doesn't pull this crap.

Sorry, but Amazon took over the market by operating at a deficit for decades. I've heard that they are still operating at a deficit, which, if true, is frankly amazing. How *do* they stay in business.

When most companies use this policy (pricing below the cost of service) the governments put them out of business. Somehow Amazon is allowed to "prosper". (I'm not sure that proper is the right term if they're actually still operating at a deficit. I know they did for over a decade, as there used to be many financial people commenting about it.)
