Comment Its manipulation of the simple Anon followers (Score 1) 211

Of course they are going to make a target they can hit seem like the most secure thing ever, with all the information in the world. Its just another case of Anonymous propaganda pushing the idea that what they are doing is actually accomplishing something more than stripping us of our rights. If they didn't have their followers tricked so hard, the people would realize that Anonymous is nothing more than a sophomoric group lashing out like a fat kid at the play ground.

You could always use something like fireBwall to write a module that avoids using the proxy. I use it often if a hotel WiFi uses ARP Poisoning to force you to register on their network. fireBwall lets you write modules that control your network flow. I know this is a shameless plug, but it really could help. http://firebwall.com/

Yay, script kiddies hurting the internet again! I love when I hear about a DDoS, it just makes me proud of all the hackers out there with SO MUCH SKILL that they can send a lot of SYN packets. Enough with the sarcasm. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS! If you want privacy, stop being immature.

Comment Who Cares? (Score 3, Insightful) 125

I'm so tired of hearing what Anonymous has DDoS'd now. I'm sick of them doing short sighted immature attacks that only end up giving legislators reasons to throw harsher laws on everyone else. Its just a bunch of low tech, high profile bullshit that's fucking everyone that uses the Internet FAR worse than their target.
