Submission + - Offering wi-fi access as a small business
motorsabbath writes: We are opening a small business in a downtown area. Metropolitan wi-fi locally ran out of funding and ended. We are considering offering wi-fi access to our customers. If someone commits an "internet nasty" while using our wi-fi, where does the liability lie? No lawyer we ask has any idea. Our ISP has no idea. Anyone here offering wi-fi to customers as a small business? Does one have to use some sort of paywall with a disclaimer to get around legal liability? For the record, these disclaimers never hold up in court....
