I see an article that claims GM has sold only 58000 Volts over three years, and I know that Tesla has sold more than that in the same amount of time.

Anecdotal: I see way more Teslas on the road than Volts, and I live in NJ. Admittedly, I'm near the NYC area where the wealthy love to show off fancy cars, but still, way more Teslas, by far, and I'm a fairly good car spotter while driving to work.

And if ISIS is successful, in 100 years they will get to rewrite the history books to show that they were the good guys and all atrocities committed in their name was for the greater good.

Although you can gloss over paying Native Americans for the Black Hills, you cannot wipe the stain of bloodshed from that period. Say what you like about ISIS, but go back to any period in our history, and the USA was no better. We condoned slavery, murder and rape to get what we wanted, and we patted ourselves on the back for it.

Yes, it's an enclosed motorcycle, but it drives like a car. You will not need a helmet in almost all states. It will solve more problems than the Tesla will, which is a just a Green toy for Rich people. This is an actual vehicle for you and me, regular people that earn less than 6 figures a year.

They don't want the kids to learn science or even mention things like evolution... Is their religion on such shaky grounds that it can't stand up to some critical thinking?

Why not then have chemistry class where two potentially explosive chemicals are mixed and the teacher tells the students "Don't worry, if your heart is pure and Allah is with you, it will not explode!"

As Dr. Tyson says -- science is true whether you believe it or not. The explosion will happen no matter what you think of Allah.

Allah doesn't protect *anyone* from a bomb or a bullet. So, what exactly is the point of learning about him/it, instead of learning math, which is actually a useful subject?

The moment you ban teaching something, it's usually because it's pretty easy to prove what bullshit your particular religion is, whether it be Christian or Muslim.

Texas Republicans don't seem to be any better, BTW.

Boeing paid off the right people.

SpaceX aside, Sierra Nevada's Dreamchaser was a better design all around. Essentially the X-20 DynaSoar, it's cheaper, re-usable, and fits the mission. The only advantages for the Capsule design of Boeing and SpaceX is that the mission can be expanded with the same hardware for Moon/Mars missions, and that said, I think SpaceX had the better design -- this contract going to Boeing is a mistake all-around.

Isn't Minecraft last week's news? The time to buy them was before the minecraft bubble. Now it's too late. That's like buying Tesla *after* the market for high-end electric cars has been saturated. Unless this developer has a new trick up their sleeve (unlikely); they aren't going to be creating anything bigger than what they already have. They are on their way down, not on their way up. So the buy makes no sense to me, except as another asset to sell off later, when MS is against the ropes and slowly dying. MS seems to constantly be throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. That's not a sound policy.

The Movie "Gravity" had Sandra Bullock aiming for a Chinese Space Station which she ultimately uses to get home. Fuuny thing is; when the movie was made, I scoffed at the Chinese Space Station for being "sci-fi"; but it looks like they got me, and there will indeed be such a station (but no Space Shuttle, sorry George Clooney!).

So, Gravity was right!
