It gets harder and harder to take these claims from environmentalists, scientists and politicians seriously, when they're so wrong again and again and again.

Someday, you'll realize that everything said by a politician, and most things said by a journalist, are misleading exaggerated gibberish. Try talking to someone with a science degree about your science-related concerns.

Because current smartphones are more powerful than ancient supercomputers. If it wasn't for increasingly wasteful software, you could already be using your phone as a complete workstation with power to spare. And when at home, there's no technological reason why you couldn't connect your smartphone like a desktop (as some people already do with laptops).

That's still better than the market rate of $0.10 for 12 ideas. In fact, you'd probably go bankrupt if you offered that rate, which is why they're limiting it to the top 3 ideas only.

Presumably the plan here is to not overlook anything "obvious" that their experts somehow didn't think of. Obviously, the actual plans in full detail will be developed by the experts.

No, you moron, if you actually read beyond two sentences, they talk about per-capita consumption, and it's STILL higher than non-megacity living.

But why would he read beyond where they're obviously spouting irrelevant crap using absolute numbers instead of per-capita numbers? If you used your critical reasoning skills, you might suspect that the only reason New York City has higher than non-megacity consumption is because they're comparing megacity Americans to third world populations. But feel free to insult someone who can both read and think.
