How about Lake Erie in the decade before the EPA was established?

So, you mean a dynamo eventually pulls the charge out of the magnets? I didn't know that. So if we could use the Earth as a dynamo, it would drain the magnetic charge of the Earth.

But then, the list of things I don't know is nearly infinite. I'm going back to playing with my Legos.

Dumb question: Could the "dynamo" be used to create current?

It would be nice if we could use the rotation of the Earth as an energy source.

We put some satellites into a polar orbit to act as the, um, what's the word...stator?

Yeah, it's a dumb question.

Of course, the capitalist answer is to have competition and self-interest support those beleaguered workers in starting their own businesses.

You mean like the businesses that Wal-Mart put out of business?

Capitalists do not want competition. Capitalism and competition are not the same thing, and they are certainly not interdependent. You're not paying attention.

The question these days is whether the Precious Bodily Fluids of Americans have been so thinned by things like food stamps, the market manipulations that let Wal-Marts economies of scale trump everything, and the anti-capitalist rhetoric of the Left that these caterpillars no longer crave chrysalis.

You have to ask yourself, "Who benefits most?" Then, you'll find the culprits. (hint: It's not food stamp recipients.)

I wonder how much of the relative size of our brains is because some dim ancestor decided to get up on two legs and didn't realize what he was getting us into.

And Wal-Mart ends up getting a nice chunk of those food stamps that their workers have to live on. Win-win! Capitalism is a beautiful thing, no?
