I suspect Apple is making this news release because of secret court order asking them to do. It is the same as law enforcement saying imessage is uncrackable. All they (the government) want is for you to voluntary turning over your information thinking that they are secured.

That reminded me what my wife told me at her company event recently. He said most management uses either iphone or blackberry while most younger staff members use android. Mind you that may be change because of the bigger and badder iphone 6 size. :-)

I can't wait to receive discount for being a good driver. By tracking my usage pattern on my phone, insurance companies will be surprised how good am I when I'm behind the wheel. They will all fight to get me as a customer. In turn, I will go out to pay a $25 cheapo phone and tell them that is my main phone. BB was strong in Indonesia. It is just a matter of time before others catching up with the rest of the world. I believe they may survive if they focus on businesses and governments customers.

They are serious about security or compression? I think it was latter. Compression was necessary to minimize data usage. Back in the days where GPRS was considered extremely FAST. They needed compression to make communication on their device bearable. I think security was an after thought. Just my opinion.

Having said that, a BB10 is not much different comparing to other smart phones in term of how it is retrieving webpages, emails, etc.

The reason why bad quality stuffs are coming out of China is because either consumers demand lower price stuffs or companies demand higher profit. If you want good quality stuffs, you got to pay higher. A vacuum cleaner used to cost me $500. I can't even find one that is more than $150 at wal-mart the last time I checked. Anyone thinks they could get away with selling their cheap quality products at high price quarter after quarter, year after year, they are delusional.

Why turn off auto join -- why not just turn off the wifi while you're at it. It saves battery too.
